Tollef Ohlson joined the IL 15th Cavalry, Company L. The army listed him as living in Morris, Grundy County, Illinois, born in Norway, a farmer, age 20, and married. He had blue eyes, light hair, light complexion, and stood 5’7”. He enlisted on February 20, 1864 as a Private (Menig). Ohlson was discharged from the service from hospital in Corinth, Mississippi.
