Ole Oleson joined the WI 15th Infantry. He was aged 24 and a farmer. He had black eyes, black hair, reddish complexion, and stood 5’9”. He enlisted for three years on August 17, 1864 at La Crosse, WI as a substitute for S. D. Hollister of Tomah, Monroe County, WI. He was a recruit and served as a Private (Menig). Oleson became unfit for service and was discharged from Harvey Hospital in Madison, WI on February 10, 1865.
