Tosten H. Dengerud was born on January 24, 1930 to Henrik Helgesen and Gro Halvorsdatter Dengerud. He joined the WI 15th Infantry as a Private (Menig).
After the war, he lived in Zumbrota, MN. He married Moder and they had a child named Matilda (1878-1906). He is buried in Lands Lutheran Church Cemetery, Zumbrota, Goodhue County, MN.
