Daniel P. Wooster was born in 1827 in CT. He worked as a physician. His wife, Sarah, was also born in CT. They were married in the 1850s. Their son, Park, was born in 1857.

Daniel joined the WI 15th Infantry Field & Staff. His residence is listed as Racine, Racine County, WI. He was commissioned  on December 10, 1862. He mustered on December 19, 1862 at Madison, WI. He was the Assistant Surgeon. He became ill in Nashville, TN on January 27, 1863. He was given 20 days’ leave on February 12, 1863. He resigned March 2, 1863. He died after returning to Racine on January 16, 1864. He is buried in Caledonia Memorial Park, Caledonia, Racine, WI, Block 2, Section 45, Lot 5.
