Sognefjordlag in Stoughton, Wisconsin

August 10, 2017 - August 12, 2017

August 10-12

Every August we have a get together, called a stemne, in a town or city in the upper Midwest. At our stemne we gather to celebrate our Norwegian heritage, to share in fellowship and friendship, to learn about our own genealogy and family history and to listen to speakers and entertainers. Our meetings can now also be held in Mandt Lodge, which is air conditioned and handicap accessible. A committee of board members are busy procuring speakers and we will continue to hold our silent auction which benefits our scholarship fund for youth.

For more information, contact Kathy Johnson (608) 238-1785.

Testimonials

“Dear Carol, Wow-what a find.......  This was both a blind-sided joy that you completed the circle of information that I had sought for more than 30 years and the information that must have been a very difficult secret to keep for my great grandmother's entire life. Congratulations for your effort and ingenuity in solving this puzzle for me. Enclosed is a check to cover the cost of your research. Thank you a thousand times for your find. I am at ease now to know this link to my past.”

- Robert (Illinois)
