Madison-area Friends’ Dinner

April 22, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

| $75.00

The 12th Annual Madison-area Friends’ Dinner to benefit NAGC & NL will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018. The Social Gathering and Silent Auction will begin at 5:00 P.M. The social gathering time and silent auction preview will provide time to visit with Dr. Nordby, friends, and with the NAGC Board, staff and volunteers. The dinner and program will commence at 6:00 P.M. Bunads and festive dress are invited.

In honor of the 175th anniversary of the birth of Edvard Grieg (143-1907), we are pleased to share a special performance by the Edvard Grieg Chorus. This special gathering also provides an opportunity for us to celebrate the 100th birthday of Dr. E.J. Nordby (patron of NAGC and friend to all in the Norwegian-American community).

Tickets are $75 per person; tables of 10 are offered at a special price of $700. Guests may choose between Norwegian Salmon Filet or Roast Pork Tenderloin.

If you are not a member of NAGC and wish to receive an invitation, please contact us with your name and mailing address. Call 608-255-2224 or send an email to: genealogy@nagcnl.org

“Dear Solveig, My sister Lori and I thank you on behalf of the Twedt and Olson families for your successful efforts in finding our Norwegian family records for Gunder Louven and his (2) wives.  These records, that we were not able to locate through our own six-month research, now provide us with the real names of our third-great grandmother and the history. The records you found also gave us the names of our fourth-great grandfather and grandmother (Gunder Louven's parents).Words cannot express the pure joy that we felt when you told us the news. We will forever be thankful for your tireless efforts, which now give us the opportunity to go further back in our research on our mother's side of the family.I have enclosed a donation check to NAGC & NL. We look forward to receiving the documents of evidence that you discovered. God Bless You.”
