Beginning Genealogy (Classroom 2020)

July 27 - July 28

Beginning Genealogy Class 2020 – Classroom

Monday, July 27 and Tuesday, July 28, 2020

If you are just beginning your family history project, or have some experience with family research, but have not worked with Norwegian records, this class is designed for you.  There will be time during each day of the class for research help in the Naeseth Library with NAGC staff.

Jerry Paulson will instruct the class.  Jerry has extensive experience as a genealogical researcher and teacher. In addition to classes at NAGC, he has also taught courses in genealogical research and Norwegian cultural topics at Madison College; he has also led numerous research tours to the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.

All classes are held in the Ostby Education Center on the 2nd floor at the Genealogical Center.

We must adhere to Dane County Public Health Emergency Order #8, so masks will be required while in the building and social distancing will be observed.

For more information, please contact Jerry Paulson at gpaulson@nagcnl.org or call 608-255-2224.

Testimonials

“Solveig, thank you again for making the translations of my Great great grandfather's letters possible. I am told they were a big hit at the Thorstad reunion last weekend. I even learned a couple of things about my grandmother's side of the family!”

- Pat (Kentucky)
