Rasmus Johnson joined the WI 15th Infantry, Company E. The men of the company called themselves “Odin’s Rifles.” The army listed him as living in Norway Township, Racine County, WI. He enlisted on November 5, 1862 as a Corporal (Korporal). He was discharged from the service for disease on April 15, 1864.
