Ole Wold joined the WI 15th Infantry, Company G. The men of the company called themselves the “Rock River Rangers.”

Wold is listed as living in Clinton, WI, age 48, and married. He enlisted for three years on October 21, 1861 at Beloit, WI, and mustered December 13, 1861 at Madison, WI. He was designated Corporal (Korporal). He disappeared from Mississippi River Island No. 10 on August 2, 1862, and not heard from after that.
