Borre Peterson was born on May 7, 1845. He joined the WI 15th Infantry, Company E as a Private (Menig). The men of the company called themselves “Odin’s Rifles”. The army listed him as living in Hamburg, WI. He died in the general hospital at Louisville, KY on May 20, 1864. He was buried at Cave Hill National Cemetery in Louisville; Section B, grave 1912.
